MT4/MT5 server time converter
MT4/MT5 charts show your broker’s server time. Pick the time your MT4/MT5 shows right now, and this tool works out the difference and converts server times into your local time.

Where do I find these numbers?
- MT4/MT5 time now
- The time at the top of Market Watch (the time the last price arrived, in server time; it stops while the market is closed)
- Your time
- Your phone or computer clock. Daylight saving follows your device settings
- Daily candle start
- Switch the chart timeframe to D1 (daily): each candle is one day, and a new one starts at 00:00 server time
The mobile app and platforms other than MT4/MT5 may use different names or places (for example, “Units” or “Lot size” for contract size). If you cannot find a number, check your broker’s help pages.
How it works
- Difference = your offset from GMT − the server’s offset from GMT
- With “From your MT4/MT5 clock”, the gap to the current GMT is rounded to 15 minutes to get the server offset.
- In MT4/MT5, the daily candle starts at server 00:00.
FAQ
Why is the MT4/MT5 clock different from mine?
Charts use your broker’s server time. Many brokers use GMT+2 (GMT+3 during US daylight saving), but some use others.
What about daylight saving?
The tool follows daylight saving for your device. With “Common broker time,” it also follows US daylight saving. With the other two options, the server offset stays fixed, so pick your MT4/MT5 time again after the clocks change. Because the US and other regions change on different dates, the difference can shift for a few weeks around spring and autumn.
Is this telling me when to trade?
No. It only converts times. It does not decide when to trade.

This tool is a calculation aid. It is not investment advice or a recommendation to make any trade. Real values depend on your broker’s contract size, rates, commissions and spread. Always check in your trading platform before placing an order. The numbers you enter are calculated on your device and never sent anywhere.
