Corrections
This page records every factual error we have corrected in our articles: when, in which article, what was changed and why, newest first. Fixes to typos or wording alone are not listed.
- Trading forex with a broker not registered where you live
- 21 Oct 2026 The type of case in which the Japan FSA mentions refused withdrawals: Changed “lists cases such as refusing withdrawals and advertising leverage far above Japan's limit” to “lists cases such as binary options operators refusing withdrawals, and unregistered firms advertising leverage far above Japan's limit as a selling point”. Reason: In the FSA's original page, the refused-withdrawal case is about binary options trading, not forex
Earlier corrections without per-article records
- 16 Oct 2026 We corrected how several course articles describe a research figure and the scope of overseas leverage rules. The finding from Odean’s study of US individual investors is now stated as “about 1.5 times”, and the people these overseas rules apply to are now described as “retail clients”. We did not record the exact earlier wording or which articles were changed, so we cannot list these corrections article by article.
Our corrections policy
- When someone points out a mistake or something inaccurate, it is checked against the original source as soon as possible.
- If it is wrong, the article is corrected, and the date, the part changed, the text before and after, and the reason are recorded in the Corrections section at the end of the article and on this page. Where the earlier wording cannot be confirmed from our records, only the corrected wording is shown.
- The names of people who point out errors are not published.
- If you notice something, please let us know through the contact form.
